We’ve launched our new Financial Passport

Our lives seem to get busier and more complicated as time goes on, with more bills, accounts and policies needing to be set up than ever before.  Many of these are also now online, with the reduction of monthly statements being sent via the post to save on paper.  Utility bills are not always with the same providers, we may have multiple digital subscriptions and it is getting easier to switch bank accounts with newer, less traditional financial institutions promising us better rates and deals.

Therefore, it’s becoming easy to lose track of what accounts we hold, where we hold them, and what exactly they are for, unless we do a personal audit on a regular basis.  Plus, whilst not particularly a cheery thought, all these accounts and subscriptions need to be cancelled in the event of death.

To help provide some clarity and structure at NLP Financial Management we’ve put together an “easy to use” document called a Financial Passport.   The aim is to enable our clients to store all their important information in one place, capturing essential details they, or their loved ones, may need now or in the future.  It will prove to be an indispensable reference resource for managing their wealth, as well as containing personal details, which can be amended and reprinted / saved as any changes to policies and accounts are made.

During initial discussions, our clients have expressed how useful this will be to them, so we are hoping that this will provide an additional benefit of working with us as we assist our clients throughout their financial journey.

Recognised for the 7th consecutive year

NLP Financial Management attended the annual Professional Adviser Awards ceremony recently, having been shortlisted for the Adviser Firm of the Year – London for the 7th year in a row. We are the only firm in London to achieve this accolade.

For 2020, we were also shortlisted for “Best Financial Advisers to Work For” for the 2nd consecutive year and our Paraplanner Janine Willis was included in the “Paraplanner of the Year” finalists.

The Professional Adviser awards are now in their 15th year, recognising the top UK financial firms for multi-asset investing, adviser support, client engagement and platform provision. They only consider companies that are client centric, who focus on delivering outstanding and consistent advice and who also understand the increasing role that technology is playing within financial planning.

Eleven of us attended the awards dinner held at The Brewery in London. During the ceremony we were very proud to have been Highly Commended in the “Adviser Firm of the Year (London category)” and announced as one of 13 companies named “Best Financial Advisers to Work For”.

Not only do these awards highlight the positive direction in which we have taken the business since opening in 2003, consistently driving to remain a leading firm of advisers, as well as an employer of choice, but they also recognise the high levels of dedication and effort put in by our staff. Teamwork is critical to a company’s success, in order for us to keep growing and delivering a holistic client facing service and our people are one of our greatest assets.
